Welcome to The Resiliency Institute
The Resiliency Institute is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization based in the Ozarks and proudly backed by The Resiliency Initiative, a nationally recognized women-owned and operated small business and leader in crisis management and business continuity planning. We empower individuals and communities to build resilience through three programmatic pillars:
Intellectual Growth – Advancing knowledge and fostering global partnerships to strengthen crisis leadership and preparedness.
Financial Empowerment – Promoting economic resilience by supporting initiatives that help individuals and businesses build stronger, more adaptable communities.
Inspiring Resiliency – Elevating lived experiences and sharing powerful stories that highlight the hope, determination, and lessons learned from overcoming adversity.
Rooted in collaboration and innovation, The Resiliency Institute is where knowledge, action, and humanity meet to create a more resilient future—locally and globally.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower individuals and communities to anticipate, prepare for, and respond to disasters, with a vision of creating a world where resilience is a shared responsibility and communities stand strong in the face of any challenge.
How We Accomplish Our Mission
Pillar I: Intellectual Growth
The Resiliency Academies
The Resiliency Academies offer comprehensive, all-hazards preparedness workshops designed for the whole community. These academies are available in multiple formats—including in-person, virtual, and on-site—to ensure accessibility and flexibility.
Pillar II: Financial Empowerment
Resilient Futures Challenge
Starting in 2026, The Resilient Futures Challenge will provide micro-grants to individuals and organizations that are building disaster resilience in their local communities. Through an annual global competition, we support innovative, community-focused enterprises that strengthen preparedness, recovery, and long-term sustainability. Join our mailing list to be one of the first to hear about the Challenge application period.
Pillar III: Inspiring Resiliency
Profiles in Resiliency
Launching in late Fall 2025, Our Profiles in Resiliency YouTube series shares real stories of strength, survival, and recovery. Through these powerful voices, we cultivate empathy, honor lived experience, and celebrate the human spirit that drives community resilience.
